Seasoning & first use
Before first use, wash with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly, and apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the interior. Heat gently on the hob for a few minutes to help the oil bond. This builds a natural non-stick layer and protects the cast iron.
Daily use & cleaning
After cooking, allow the pan to cool. Wash with warm water and a soft sponge or brush. Mild soap is fine. Avoid harsh abrasives. Dry completely before storing to prevent rust. A light wipe with oil after drying can help maintain the finish.
Storage
Store in a dry place. If stacking, use a soft cloth or paper towel between pieces to protect the enamel. Avoid storing with the lid tightly closed if the pan is not fully dry.
